Diversity - Singapore Wind Symphony

The Singapore Wind Symphony rounds up the season with a reflective program celebrating the nation’s rich diversity featuring solo performances by soprano Akiko Otao & saxophonist Samuel Phua. Renowned Chinese maestro Li Fang Fang will lead the band in Percy Grainger’s masterpiece Lincolnshire Posy & Composer-in-Residence Terrence Wong’s Singapura, and rising Singaporean conductor Lien Boon Hua presents the world premiere of acclaimed composer Emily Koh’s Diverse[city]. In a tribute to Zubir Said, composer of our national anthem, Resident Arranger Mohamad Rasull offers up an original composition based on Semoga Bahagia or “may you achieve happiness” - a wish expressed in the song for all Singaporeans. Each work in the programme has been chosen for embodying diversity in different ways.
