Commissioned in 2021 by Clement Lim, a Singaporean flautist friend of the composer, Grey depicts the mental state of a person living through the Covid-19 pandemic under lockdown circumstances, journeying with his wandering mind as he gazes blankly out of the window towards grey and foreboding skies.
